Dewey W. Ervin

Dewey W. Ervin, 58, Wellston, Ohio, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, March 28, 2007. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a former employee of the Sands Hill Coal Co. He attended the Wellston Church of the Nazarene.

Dewey was born August 30, 1948, son of the late Bundy Elwood Ervin and Annabelle Loudermilk Ervin.

Surviving are his wife, Becky Blackstone Ervin and four children: Deanna Brown, Jackson, Amy Ervin, Ypsilanti, MI, Rachel (Dennis) Milam, North Canton, Amanda Ervin, Jackson; four grandchildren: Jeremy and Josh Milam, Griffin and Kaydee Brown; mother-in-law, Gladys Blackstone; brother, James (Sandra) Ervin, Wellston; sister-in-law, Connie Ervin, Wellston; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles (Francie) Blackstone, Robert Blackstone, Frank (Jackie) Blackstone, Paul (Merlee) Blackstone J.R. (Debbie) Blackstone, Eleanor (Charlie) Bryan, Mary (Jim) Rice and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Ervin.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, in the Garrett-Moore Funeral Home, McArthur, with Pastor Jim Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Garrett-Moore Funeral Home on Saturday, 6 to 8 p.m.
