James L. Curnutte, 67, of Circleville, died Monday, May 12, 1997 at his residence. Born February 4, 1930 in Lawrence County, Ky., the son of the late Carlous and Caroline Murphy Curnutte. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Circleville; daughter, Deborah (Dave) Fahner of Grove City; step-sons, Danny (Ann) Lake of Columbus, Dan (Sharon) Haughey of Gahanna and Jeff Haughey of Columbus; step-daughters, Clara (Larry) Smith of Grove City, Barbara Haughey of Circleville and Mary Haughey of Williamsport; 1 grandson; many step-grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; several step-great-grandchildren; brother, John Curnutte of Blaine, Ky.; sisters, Fannie, Elswick and Lula May, both of Blaine, Ky. and Betty Kelly of Calif.; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a step-son David Haughey and 2 sisters Ethel Young and Bessie Wiler. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the MADER-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, Circleville with Rev. Dennis Back officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery, Grove City. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
