Lezona Mills ERVIN (1916-2006)

Lezona "Zonie" Mills Ervin, age 90, born 1916, went to be home with her Lord Wednesday October 18, 2006, surrounded by her loving family. Lezona was an energetic lady and always on the go. She was active at Westland Senior Center and enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre. She was a big fan of OSU football, the Cleveland Browns and enjoyed watching Law & Order on TV. For the past several years Lezona drew great pleasure from from her membership in the Red Hat Society group affectionately known as the "Madhatters". Throughout her entire life what gave her the greatest satisfaction was being a loving wife and a supportive and caring mother to her children. She is preceded in death by the love of her life for 53 years, Owen W. Ervin, Sr. and her daughter Sarah Faith. Lezona leaves behind her loving and devoted children, Owen Jr. (Jan) Ervin of CO., Carole (Raybourn) Ratcliff of Orient, Eddie (Arlene) Ervin of Harrisburg, Gary Lee Ervin of Columbus, Mary Ann (Roger) Johnson of Columbus, Darrell H. Ervin of Columbus and Karen C. Ervin of Columbus; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; "adopted daughter", Jo Ann Conley of Grove City; best friend, Hilda Walz whom she loved dearly; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8p.m. Sunday at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday. Pastors Kenny Smith and Tim Muller officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
