I am researching a Thomas Ervin b. KY and married a Jane ?. One of their children Elender married Dennis Dace Lewis. Is this your Ervin line. I understand Jane was part Indian. If you can help me on this I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Lynn,
While I have some of the same names in my line, based on the information you gave me, I don't think this is my line.
My ggggrandfather was Samuel Ervin (b-1777) and had a son named Thomas. They did pass through KY on their way into southern Ohio, but my Thomas married a Sarah Thatcher. My Samuel's wife was a Jane, but I've never been able to find a marriage record to determine what her maiden name was.
What's weird about your story is the Indian part. We have a story in my family that we have Indian in us, but again, I've never been able to find one instance to prove this.
Can you share anything else about your Ervin line to see if we match up anywhere? Dates would be extremely helpful.
