Sawmill Boiler Expodes, Killing Two Men and Demolishing the Mill.

Jackson, O., Oct 13. -At about 11 o'clock yesterday the boiler of a portable sawmill exploded, with fatal results. The engineer, Kent Evans, and the owner, James Ervin, were instantly killed. Evans' body was mangled, considered,[considerably?] but Ervin's was literally torn to pieces.

Peter B. Ervin 1941-2012

Peter B. Ervin, age 70, of Erie, died on Friday June 8, 2012 at St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born in East Orange, N.J. on September 24, 1941 son of the late Howard B. and Mary I. Bechtel Ervin. Peter graduated from New Castle High School and Triangle Tech in Pittsburgh. He was a Logistics Engineer at Amsco Steris Company for 37 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant and the Siebenbuerger Club. Peter had many happy memories on his boat and enjoyed meeting and greeting people while volunteering at St. Vincent. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara J.
