August 23, 2006. Jean S. ERVIN, 71, of Granville, Ohio. Born May 21, 1935 to Harold A. and Wilma Fern (Paxton) Sanderson in Lancaster, Ohio. Passed away August 23, 2006 at the Kendall at Granville after long illness. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville St., Newark, with the Rev. Kristin Santiago officiating. Formerly a co-owner of Ervin Auto Body in Newark.

Lezona "Zonie" Mills Ervin, age 90, born 1916, went to be home with her Lord Wednesday October 18, 2006, surrounded by her loving family. Lezona was an energetic lady and always on the go. She was active at Westland Senior Center and enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre. She was a big fan of OSU football, the Cleveland Browns and enjoyed watching Law & Order on TV. For the past several years Lezona drew great pleasure from from her membership in the Red Hat Society group affectionately known as the "Madhatters".
